The Dentist Carrollton Residents Prefer Discusses De and Remineralization

November 30, 2015

If your teeth are prone to dental decay or carries, you are likely very familiar with the process of removing and filling damaged dental enamel. You may even receive regular fluoride treatments or dental sealants as part of your twice annual dental appointments. In some cases, the solution is a change in diet or oral hygiene, but some patients are simply genetically predisposed to experience more tooth decay. There is good news. Innovation in modern dental care is making it possible from patients who struggle with decay to rebuild damaged teeth as part of their regular preventive dentistry routine. Don’t Ignore Tooth Pain

July 31, 2013

As a Carrollton area dentist, one of the most important things I can tell my patients is to come and visit us as soon as they experience a pain in their tooth. Many times, patients will ignore this pain in the hopes that it will just go away. If it’s been a day or two and you’re still experiencing pain, it’s time to give us a call.

People put off calling us for several reasons. Many times, this may also be from a fear of dental treatments. In most cases, the discomfort that brings you to our office is worse than what you will experience during your treatment.

Importance of Regular Dental Checkup Appointments

July 2, 2013

As a Carrollton-area general dentist, many patients over the years have asked me why they need to come in for their dental checkup. They tell me that they’re brushing their teeth twice a day and flossing once daily. Unfortunately, these good habits alone aren’t enough to ensure good dental health.

We will check your teeth and gums for signs of oral pathology and gum disease, note and record your vital signs, and solicit from you any present or past dental concerns with an eye as to which are dentally-driven and which are caused by your medications.  These things are serious threats not only to your dental health, but to your overall health as well.
